Grant Opportunities
Lancaster Public Education Foundation will not be accepting grant applications for the remainder of the 2025/2026 school year. This change does not reflect our desire to receive and approve new grant applications but is due to a lack of funds. LPEF has had an overwhelmingly successful two years and has approved over 50 amazing grants. In the past two years alone we have given away over $55,000. We are so grateful for the increase in engagement from Lancaster educators and are astounded at all the good we have been able to support with these grants.
Starting in the 2026/2027 school year we will be implementing grant cycles. We will have a Fall Grant Cycle and a Winter/Spring Grant Cycle. More information will be posted as we get closer to these dates.
Funding is offered for projects that improve learning opportunities and academic achievement, enhance the leadership and educational capabilities of administrators, teachers, and staff, and advance improvements in the classrooms, schools, and related facilities of the Lancaster City Schools.
We will consider grants up to $1000 (one grant per teacher per school year). Projects will be funded when deemed of high quality and when LPEF funds are available. Our priority is to support ideas and special needs of individuals and small groups of teachers, staff, administrators, or school-wide projects not funded in other ways. We also do not provide grants to cover teacher training, salaries, taxes, shipping costs, or food.
Grants that are considered for funding sometimes require a follow-up interview by the grant committee. Funds should be dispersed approximately thirty days after the grant award is confirmed. Grant recipients are required to submit a brief progress report within six months of receiving the grant.
